Whats the best thing to happen to you in your career to date?

My career as a journalist has helped me connect to a variety of people. Through their stories and thoughts, I have gained an education, learned to listen and represent their stories in a thought provoking, balanced and engaging manner.

What does a typical work week look like for you?:

I have a mixture of projects going on. This includes feature articles, commentary on current social issues, non-fiction essays, copy for companies and audio production.

Describe your working environment in a few sentences..

I have set periods of time for each allocated task. I like to hone in and focus on the task at end. I polish article or audio files through a series of edits.

What sets you apart from other freelancers in your industry?

I am a millennial and can understand the mindset and expectation of the millennial audience. I have an extensive understanding of ethical and social justice issues. On top of this, I am committed to diverse representation of ethnic minorities and racial groups.

Do you collaborate with others? If yes, how does that works?

Yes, I am happy collaborate. I am able to do the research and let others produce the article (or, vice versa). I am able to edit other people's articles. I am also happy to help any photographers or graphic designers by producing copy to fit their project. For radio, I can either present a program or manage it (this includes scripting, production and editing it).

Whats been the biggest freelancing lesson to date?

I have learned to set up a database that has all my client details.
