Whats the best thing to happen to you in your career to date?
I filmed a client testimonial out of a helicopter with no door, and I also got to try indoor skydiving while on another shoot!
What does a typical work week look like for you?:
I have about 150 browser tabs open at any given time, out of which at least 60 are video forums, tutorials and software/gear reviews.
Describe your working environment in a few sentences..
I currently work out of an awesome co-working space in Melbourne, surrounded by creatives who are amazing what they do and inspire me every day.
What sets you apart from other freelancers in your industry?
I'm a unique mix of videographer and marketer - I help clients not only produce great video, but also work with them on placement and amplification that brings the best ROI.
What are the tools of your trade?
Apart from the camera stuff it's the Adobe products, wireless noice-cancelling headphones, many, many cables and external hard drives - and my awesome accounting app.
Do you collaborate with others? If yes, how does that works?
Video industry survives and thrives on collaboration so I surround myself with professionals with complementary skills - motion designers, animators, voiceover artists, storyboarders and musicians.
Whats been the biggest freelancing lesson to date?
Don't wait for the perfect moment - just do it.
