Busy Made Simple

I started Busy Made Simple in 2016 after working in the public service for many years. My working style is like talking to a friend as this is the type of relationship I like to build with my clients. After being in the corporate world, I decided the only way forward was to start my own business and work with the type of people who also want to make their own mark on the world. I grew up in small business. My family had multiple small businesses that I got to watch and be a part of and I have always known that I wanted my very own. I am very professional and like to get tasks completed and move on to the next quickly, although I do take great care in the work I do and pride myself on the quality of service I provide to my clients. I absolutely love being a business owner and the work that I do. I know that my clients are the reason for this. I have a focus on holistic coaching businesses who really want to make a difference in other peoples lives. My client list includes Life Coaches, Doulas, Naturopaths, Business Coaches and Birthing Coaches I specialise in systems, creating efficiencies and improving businesses as automation is the only way to save time and money while growing a business. I am very open to constructive criticism and take on feedback everywhere I can- to not only improve my business but to improve myself. I am very open to learning new skills and will never charge for the time I take on learning something new that could help me grow my own business.

Whats the best thing to happen to you in your career to date?

Starting this business! I have loved every single moment of it and I can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing every day.

What does a typical work week look like for you?:

Catching up with my awesome clients, creating websites, managing my virtual assistants and making sure all the businesses I work with are running smooth and efficiently.

Describe your working environment in a few sentences..

I have a beautiful home office at my home in Canberra where I work from. My sidekicks Lilli and Eevie (my loving and energetic puppies) are always running around making mischief and cheering me on.

What sets you apart from other freelancers in your industry?

I really care about my clients and their business goals. I work as a second-hand-woman to all of my clients and they can call me up whenever they want to chat, debrief or just need a sounding board. I really want to make a difference in their business to same the business owner time and money wherever I can.

What are the tools of your trade?

My trusty computer, keyboard and mouse. I couldn't do what I do without them. I also use Asana for my project management system, GSuite, WordPress and so many other systems I can't count them all.

Do you collaborate with others? If yes, how does that works?

Yes, I know people within other industries and within the VA industry that I refer people to when my clients need another service or a service I cannot provide.

Whats been the biggest freelancing lesson to date?

Everyone is different and every business is different - so they should all be treated differently.
