Q & A

Whats the best thing to happen to you in your career to date?

Connecting with an inspiring group of business men and women, learning from each other, and encouraging each other when things get tough.

What does a typical work week look like for you?:

A lot of organising, keeping track of various threads, keeping myself and my clients on track.

Describe your working environment in a few sentences..

A small home office, surrounded by images of people and things I love, to remind me why I do what I do.

What sets you apart from other freelancers in your industry?

My corporate background and expertise in business documents, policies and procedures. Not many people likes to deal with them, but they're a necessary part of life. I actually enjoy it!

What are the tools of your trade?

Laptop, iPad, iPhone, notepad and pen.

Do you collaborate with others? If yes, how does that works?

Absolutely. I can't do everything, and I don't know everything, but I want to make sure my clients receive the best possible service at all times. That can mean reaching out to others in my network who can provide that service better than I ever could.

Whats been the biggest freelancing lesson to date?

The importance of social media and digital marketing. It's not something that comes naturally to me, so I resisted as long as I could. Now I have my own marketing team to look after it for me!
