Here’s a summary of myself as a copywriter. What you`ll gain is an overview of my expertise and some insight into what it is like working with me. Firstly, I studied at the University of New South Wales and completed a Social Science degree in Criminology and Research and Policy. Yes, A long winded degree title! University is where all my foundations were laid. Here I learnt to: - Write creatively - Conduct research - Attain and understand statistics - Focus and apply myself to a project - Juggle numerous tasks at a time - Prioritise - Be open minded Studying and my creative nature combined are have given me the momentum needed to excel as a good copywriter. I have the strong ability to sort through issues, weak points, and flaws, resulting in finding the right solution. Taglines are a specialty of mine. My pet hate is visual clutter. Therefore, I`ll gladly sink my teeth into any revamp/overhaul tasks. My “conversational” approach to copy has helped me master making the reader feel like I am speaking to them individually. I work efficiently, like to be clear and concise, and make sure we are all on the same page. I place huge importance on brainstorming and conceptualisation - this is generally where I come up with my best work. I have worked with many lifestyle brands. To highlight two of the well-known companies: Emirates and Kcal. At Emirates, I worked in-house as a Digital Copywriter for part of my career in the Corporate Communications team. As a longstanding employee, I really understood the brand and what needed to be portrayed through content. I worked on various platforms, the main being My tasks at Emirates ranged from working on content for the web (including SEO copy), creative copy, editing, updating web content, passenger notifications, creating company guidelines, tone of voice and glossary, mobile app and content for the staff portal. Currently as a freelancer, most of my client base has been from word of mouth. Kcal is included in this list. During my relationship with Kcal I helped create content for new product launches including; media releases, taglines, social media releases, product naming and description, and product packaging copy. In addition to this, updated copy. An example of this is the receipt holder, loyalty card and bill folder at Kcal restaurant. Above all else, I am an avid reader and pick up on all spelling and grammatical errors, so, throw my hat in the proof reading and editing arena with great ease. Any questions, please ask. Looking forward to building a “Freelance Collective” relationship with you!
